Led by Dog

Rainbow patterns upon a sepia world
Leave us searching for the colors of life
That are neither present nor absent.
Yet, we are surrounded in a darkened
Cacophony of silenced and muted sounds
Superimposed on the din of normal life.
Hope for immortal salvation leads to immoral
Acts of devotion damming our souls as we
All hope to save others with our kindness.
Servitude, through gratitude, in pseudo-faith
Gives blinding guidance to ends unwanted
While our lives earn eternal damnation.
