Lavender Flower

Burgundy Shadows, the
Room dark with deep
Yellows and a rusting brown
Does her copper hair betray
Her heart, her feelings?

I have been captured
In that red mane, my
Thoughts have wandered
Where I fear, I am
Tangled in the

Shadows, tangled in
The rain as I walk
Lost hopelessly in cycles
Hanging from my neck
Chains of doubt

Twisted with those
Of others, winding to a
Zenith, somewhere above
Habits, further
Above nature

But there is no escape
As I am from my
Nature, indivorcible, I
From a Lavender Flower
Must Spring

As I do from whispers
From pages, from
Silence, from laughter
From ground swollen with
Rain, with worry

I deny the omen
That tells me
Fortune is with the
Sun, forever lost to
The rain

I rise
Run with the grass
Sigh with the wind
Love with the sky
But I fall into dust
When into the soul
Of her eyes
I stare
