Last Moments

Last breathe fading fast,
Her bones, dry dust.
Screams swallowed by weakness of her body.
Darkness comes over her eyes.
Deep sleep of a corps claims her.
Terror fills the heart.
Knotty hair spreads around her face
As she lies limp on the floor.
Her limbs sprawled out in this way and that,
She cares not how she looks.
Why would it matter?
She's almost dead.
Her life fills her mind with thoughts
As her breathing falls short.
She remembers her child hood and her friends.
She sees her loved ones and family.
Nothing matters anymore,
All allusions of life.
She's filled with sorrows
As her eyes drip close slowly.
A dark blanket overcomes her.
All senses, gone.

She's dead.
