Last Glance
In a last glance
I had seen her smile
for one lasting instant.
So revealing
was beauties design
etched in faceless stone
With skin darkened
as cinder-cones
smoothed in natures time.
Coated cheeks
dipped in porcelain
from a China shop
burning hot.
Moulded
from a lava flow
upon redden soft lips
dipped in cherry wine.
While
only a volcanic personality
could dispirit my heart
upon a rising rock
cast in a deep blue sea.
Where a glacier of ice
capped her peak
spewed in a world of discontent
reaching out to heaven's celestial stars.
In a division
separating our souls
never to find.
