Last Fiber

With nothing much to do today
I sat down and pondered on the mystery of you
My heart long been given to serve your every desire
I decided to search for any stragglers within
For a heart that soldiers through
Is lost if the body isn't as true
The search took me quite a while
Found hands dedicated to lifting you
A back determined to carry you through
Lips that only you can bring a smile to
Eyes eternally enamored with you
Sifting and digging through
Has brought me to this curious little piece of me
Face to face with the fabled last fiber of one's being
Incredible, this twitching little thing
Actually sat still
While my heart carved your name
With gentle passion came this sweet calligraphy
This little miracle a towering monument
That you have my heart, body, and soul
From now to eternity
