Kiss of the Rain

today I woke up happy.
happy enough to think that the rain would stop today.
happy enough to know that Her smile upon Me can recreate
the same.
that the brownest eyes are the clearest,
and that the color of coffee never professed as delicious,
as when I looked into those eyes.
blemishes 'bove her 'head.
imperfections that are sublime of Her pure,
paradisiacal face.
as I mind Her hands,
dessicant and exhausted,
as though life for Her had lost it;
as though life from Her had frosted.
still stunning and reclaimable that which is barren,
if bound by the kiss of the rain.
a chance for me so visionary and absurd. proscribed
for the Jester who in His court remains obliviously insane.
although her beauty yet enthralling, and bereft of love;
I'm falling, there are words that lastly I could never say.
