Kick Up A Little Dirt

Come on boy take my hand and kick up a little dirt with me
Blue jean overalls, faded ball cap, scuffed boots is what I want to see
Let’s turn a wrench on that sweet old Ford wood truck
Jump on the four wheeler, head for the mud, let’s get stuck

I want to practice calling in a massive turkey
Lay in the grass at night, holding hands in where I want to be
Can we cast a line across a lake that’s smooth as glass
We’ll count fireflies as the sunsets while we make our way back

I want to work beside you planting for a new season
Hold onto one another close and gaze into each other’s eyes for no reason
Say our prayers each night as we lay sweetly together
