Kami Kazi

Kami kazi flights of fancy
soaring on whispers that could
float a sumo wrestler.
And I call myself a scientist!
If only the lab were open,
I would mix this dream of sea
with the pull of the earth
and live in mud,
salty mud
until my gills filled and
all my friends came home.
Until then, my door is open
wide like spring
and though the sun may blind me
don't fear my squinty glare.
I am merely attempting
to recognize those that I welcome in.
