Just Trust Me

I don't understand what I'm suppose to do.
Should I rip my heart out and feed it to you?
I love you, don't you believe what I say?
I guess for my mistakes this is the price I pay.
All I strive for is that smile on your face,
But my dreams have never been easy to chase.
I try so hard and God its been tough,
And yet I still haven't done enough.
All I want from you is your trust.
In a relationship it's always a must.
You can't force your feelings and that I know,
But I've tried so hard and it doesn't show.
What can you expect from someone like me?
I've never loved and it isn't easy.
I know you'll never let go of the past,
So I hope this relationship really does last.
All I want is the best from you,
But I don't know what you need me to do.
Your love has always meant everything to me.
I'm sorry I'm so untrustworthy.
I regret ever making you feel so bad.
I wonder if we'll ever live this down.
I prefer a smile not a frown.
I wish we could just let all of this go,
But life's not that easy, we both know.
I love you with every beat of my heart.
We have to stay strong and not be torn apart.
Later we'll look back and laugh,
Because of how much love we'll have.
I wish I didn't have to feel this pain,
Because trust is all I'm trying to gain.
