Just A Grump

I sit here with my arms folded tight.
Nobody cares and that's the way I like it.
Every now and then I let go but
wham! there go the old arms again.
Sometimes I get up and stand along the wall
watching, waiting for life to pass me by.
Nothing ever happens as far as I can see.
People moving along laughing, shouting,
making all sorts of noise.
Can't they all just shut-up for a moment!
After all life would be a lot better
if it wasn't so noisy.
What's that you say? Love someone.
You got to be kiddin' me, right?
Last time I tried that... OW! disappointment!
You ever had your feelings hurt?
Well not me and never again.
