Sam abused money
Julia had a family fortune
Sam had neither

Julia worked with old people
Sam was old and did not work
Julia was serious about everything
Sam was lackadaisical, brilliant, and goofy

Julia was compassionate
Sam was passive-aggressive
Julia liked to sing
Sam liked to dance

Although it appeared at the outset
That the relationship wouldn't last
Julia loved Sam
Sam loved Julia

And that was that
