Journeyman



The gateway is boredom
where the mind ends
and the soul begins.
Then the hands fly
of their own volition
we dance the dance.
The mind, heart, body
embrace each other
in rythmic balance.
A perfect sword is born
of molten steel
and human sweat.

A life long apprentice in the art of poetry, I played a lot of different instruments over the course of my 70 years. I worked in the meat processing industry, the data processing industry, the corrections industry, the counseling industry and, finally, the teaching industry, all as a skilled tradesman.Over the course of those years I simply learned about life, at least to the extent that I saw it and could take it in and process it.
