Journey Back to East Africa

Nervous anticipation
flowing through my veins,
stronger than blood.

Expectations screaming
in my mind,
louder than words.

Will the fantasy fall short?
Illusions shattered,
broken pieces of my life.

Or, will I return
to a place that will still feel like home,
to the cradle of mankind,
where my soul will be at ease?
