Jackies Poem

Im here to offer an incantation of a man who just like any other was
probably working and busted up his body to discover
a cut in manhood

As anyone will soon see
“All the lies your teachers told you! All the things you parents said!”
are some days what we do believe

Such as ‘do unto others’, ‘a stitch in time saves 9’, and ‘a bird in the hand is:
“Rare like the ruby at the bottom of the sea! Beautiful like the sparrow in the kitten’s jaw!’”

And when my cat Oreo passed
buried beneath unyielding snow grass
I screamed: “Why does only death show us how much we truly mean to each other? The beautiful things that we’re not ready to lose. Or have yet to try. Knowledge does not come in books; it comes in caskets!”

So that night on the way to the vet
All street lights out like some Hollywood pet magic
and as I held your paw for the last earthly moment
I got a call from this stranger, to my brain he phoned it:

“Can we start again? Go back to what it meant back then! Open minds and open hearts! The things that set us apart!”

On this turkey day eve, how could I not be thankful for so many things? Instead of waiting on a romantic dinner plan, I took the girl I love by her hand. She became my girlfriend, God willing one day my wife

Last weekend after my 24th birthday at The Heartland my darling resurrected my childhood and gave me a magic set, and I will run with dragons until the entire Kingdom's dead

“I will believe in dragons for as long as I run with dragons, I will believe in dragons for as long as I run with dragons”

"While these bodies keep piling up, But there are some things that are worse than dying"

"I will believe in dragons for as long as I run with dragons”
