It's Too Late To Say I Love You

Suffering the pain of his long lost love
Gave him the feeling that life is just too tough.
She was always there guiding him through
Because it was either hard or it was just too new.
On his knees at the altar, every Sunday, he wept
Because there were so many secrets that he kept.
He never said "I love you", instead,
He'd always stare her through,
Bringing tears to her eyes that made him feel so blue.
He touched her cheeks as gently as he could,
But she just turned away, as he knew she would.
He regrets those days because now
That she's gone he sees his love for her in many ways.
When he is sleeping, late at night, he can
Still see the candles that she'd always light.
The fire would burn and the candle would melt,
But he still couldn't see the love that she felt.
He shivers and shakes and stares his pain through,
Because he knows it's too late to say I love you.
