It's Just As Well That We Can't Tell

We don't know how many feats will take us to the end.
We don't know how many treats are left to give a friend.
It's just as well that we can't tell our decisive year.
The toll bell for now stands still and we feel premiere.

We don't know how many suns will take us to the end.
We don't know how many stuns are left to make amend.
It's just as well that we can't tell our ultimate fate.
The toll bell for now stands still and we fell sedate.

We don't know how many moves will take us to the end.
We don't know how many grooves are left to turn a bend.
It's just as well that we can't tell our survival time.
The toll bell for now stands still and we fell sublime.

We don't know how many miles will take us to the end.
We don't know how many styles are left to set a trend.
It's just as well that we can't tell our specific close.
The toll bell for now stands still and we feel repose.
