into love

What you know
What you feel
What you know to feel
Don't fall and hurt
Don't hurt and fall
It hurts to fall and fail
But it hurts more to
know you feel the pain in the fall

An angel lying on the ground
Fallen out of knowledge
Wings crumble like paper
Not able to rise up and fly
Life and air goes by and by
The angel fell and hurt and
knew
all too well that love is pain
pain is love

Who knew but this one angel
that our hearts bring us closer
than anything else
but tear us down more than
anything else

A contradiction between people
I love you
but hate others
enough that you stand out
The angel knows
the capacity of a heart
of a soul

Tears trickle down
out of pain
failure
sorrow
joy
The air gets tight
There is still no flight
She can't escape, there is
none
trapped
in this inevitable contradiction of the soul

It hurts to know
know the knowledge of everyone
Looking up at the sky the angel
hopes and prays to stand
Her wings glisten as the tears
drown her in her own emotions
the fallen tries to get back up
tries to not feel the pain

What she feels is not what
she knows to feel
love, hate
pain, joy
there is hope, there is doubt
She finds the realization
of life
Her wings come to life all
too soon

The fallen departs
the cold wet earth
She looks about
the angel knows
The pain felt when fallen
was not what she knew to feel
it was her heart reaching out
in love
