Innocent Or Guilty

It happened in june on a cold dark night
A horrible murder no one in sight.
A beautiful woman taken at a young age
By a man they say filled with rage.
Time of death based on a dogs bark,
Who was that there in the dark.
Blood flowing like an endless river,
Such a crime makes you quiver.
Shoe prints left behind with a bloody trail,
Her dog was making a plantive wail.
Her friend also dead, never again to see,
100% not guilty was his plea.
A pass filled with spousal abuse,
She realized there was just no use.
Her face beaten,bruised,and marked,
His ford bronco hastily parked.
He gave her gifts to win her back,
Then came another attack.
Was hopeless obsession in his heart?
 family members torn apart.
It's hard to believe he would risk it all,
to take such a mighty fall.  They say the truth will set you free,
but is this how it would really be?
