Innocence

innocence is when you are oblivious until you see its a possibility...

when you are able to trust and seek without knowing what could happen..

i wish our innocence wasnt taken from us..

raised in this world where all the possibilities of what is cruel and horrible...

constantly forming our internal vision...

no longer can our children grow up in a place where there's freedom..

their lives have already been numbered and decided how they'll contribute to a system..

how i long for a world where we are free to listen..

without the constant fear of b*llsh*t information..

grounded into our daily lives...

this created hallucination...

a world where people are innocent and free to wonder unknowingly..

about a universe we can actually look up and see...

instead of this concrete paradise...

a place where there is music...

and dancing...

and love for all thats living..

a place where im free to be with you...

and experience that vision...

laying there in a world so peaceful..

while playing the tune of the universe...

the song that comes from the heart..

on our guitars.. :)

Geni Kelepouris

I began writing when i was 16. I enjoy expressing myself through all forms of art ( my profile pic is one of my art pieces). I have had a life full of tragedies and suffer post traumatic stress. I find that art and writing soothes my soul and allows me to heal from all the pain that has been haunting me. I have an obsession with existence and love nothing more than to discuss all the different theories of why we are here. My poems cover a range of topics from love and inspiration to complete random mania. There are also some very deep poems that i needed to write to get the sorrow from my life. I just hope whoever is reading them enjoys them. more…
