Ink

It's been a while since I wrote to you
A while since I let this pen touch your paper
let you feel my pain
ready to let this ink serenade you
let the ink penetrate your veins so you could feel me
my thoughts, actions and memories
I wanted us to be more than a paragraph
I wanted a novel with hundreds of chapters
I needed you to feel each and every noun and verb
It's absurd how each of your metaphors and similes had an effect on me
A relationship with no commas and periods, a neverending story,
Why do I pain myself with these thoughts?
