Incidental Chamber of Bliss

In the beginning I would scrape at the walls
I would scream till my throat burned red
Only stopping long enough to resuscitate
Then continuing, I'd beg to be fed
You could say I wasn't too fond of this place
And you'd be pleased were that still the case
But I'll tell you for certain to be of your burden
That it ain't, warden
It ain't

I've grown accustom to these walls
For I have claimed them as my own
Don't you see, you silly buffoon?
This is very much my home
You don't like the way I think
Or the way that "we" do, really
You tell us it threatens your morals
And this is clearly why you're silly
So thank you for the chamber
You made us gather here for shame
But instead it's kept us away from your world
And made us proud of our name
Job well done
