in the game

ain't got time for being angry
ain't got time to just complain
all i really want from life
is to get back in the game

i'll carry the team's water
i'll carry all the towels
i just want back on the field
please coach show me how

i don't care if i am injured
i don't care if i am sore
all i really care about
is that i play once more

its the thrill of competition
its the feeling that you get
 whether, win or lose,
that you did your best

god grant me one more chance
god grant me one more play
and once my time is over
i'll happily walk away

from this field of sorrows
from this field of strife
just happy to have played once more
in this game called life
