In My Dreams

Some day my ship will touch the bay,
and I shall leave the sea.
To take you in my arms again
and hold you close to me.
I wish you could hear me speak
of loving thoughts of you,
I want your lips to share with me
each morsel and each drink
and have you be a part of me
in every thought I think.
I love you with my heart and soul,
and yet, I know that I must wait
For still another dawn
and I must linger in my dreams
until the night is gone.
