In Memoriam To A King (3 )

Almost in my every waking hour, I imagine,
Always in my every sleep, I dream--
The wind telling both lightning and thunder:
"Flash across the night sky and shout--
Lady Justice will one day remove
Her blindfold--to point and declare. ..."
A national treasure, he was, if I may be
So bold and honest, more than the country's
Immortalized national hero--in terms of life lived...
The living (and building) it with utmost class
And the "leaving" it--fighting for truth--aghast!
Indeed, not for himself, but those that in him
With burning fervor and abiding faith believed.
A true 'maginoo,' he so perfectly personified
The word "idol," both on and off the silver screen.
A gem of a man, he was a diamond. A Big One!
As a fan, as long as I have breath in me,
I will miss his sparkle.
And as a 'kabayan,' I cry for my people.
