In December

I am standing at the edge of nothing.
I am at the edge of a cliff,
the ground behind me has fallen away.
As I look down,
all I can see is,
the emptiness,
the darkness,
the nothingness.

I know that it is calling me.
This dark, empty nothing.
And I will answer.

Whether pushed,
or I fall,
or I jump.

I will answer that call.
Into that nothing.
