In A Heartbeat

I see this life descending
Breaking my soul clean in two,
The walls are closing in on me
And I am trying hard to get to you.
The fire in my heart is raging
My pulse is racing with my heart,
This I feel may be my final hour
Where the end is of course the start.
So sing me a song or whisper a prayer
It will not be long before I am gone,
But have a heart and save me a dance
Underneath that, my Southern Sun.
