Bruised and battered with barely pulsing veins, my withered heart holds onto life on the slight hope.
Temptation to finally submit, surrender drags me further into depression but I have learnt to force smiles and laughter, to hide it all.
The pain of living without your smile, your eyes...without you.
You threaten me with your demise often enough to realise that it would cause my destruction.
Insanely my thoughts turn to a twisted desire of yours to cause me more pain.
Hanging on by a thread in your hands, leaving you with the ability to crush me with one destructive gesture.
I lie in tears hoping that it may be my turn but you wait once more would push me back into the darkness, a fate I cant handle.
Drips of blood replace that of salt water, a fate only you can prevent.
So take your strike, be it loving or hateful. My life lies with you and my heart is yours forever.
