If you love me there's no need to say
that you love me everyday.
If you love me through the night,
then in your dreams, you hold me tight.
If you love me for another day,
then those words that cut me, you won't say.
If you love me than I will see,
by the way you look and talk to me.
If you love me when you're down,
then you will struggle to keep me around.
If you love me then you will stay,
close to me and not at bay.
If you love me than I will feel,
the love we share is more than real.
If you love me, then time you'll make
For a few brief moments is all it takes.
If you love me, I do not know
how deep the roots or where we'll go.
But if at least you'll love me this I know
Our love can only begin grow.
