If This, Then That. SUCH IS OUR WORLD

julie leyraud 1960 (USA)

In the beginning it begun
People, plants, animals, moon, water, sun

Each fixed in place with space and time
Governed with innate orders from Divine

The game now setup and pieces in play
Our spectator watch's, smiles, weeps from day to day

As we the people abuse the innate order
Crossing and mingling the natural border

If  we mix this, then we get that
As though we can pull a rabbit from a hat

We have choice to bounce like a ball
From top to bottom, wall to wall
All within a fixed place in our universe

As we steal, kill, bump, run
over people, plants, animals
moon, water, sun

The spectator blamed from the end to the beginning
All bases loaded we enter the final inning

A game created with regulations and rules
Once played wisely now played by mere fools

We the pawns and they the hand
Who watch over and govern the land

Now the time to assume your role
Set your heart on the goal

Return to each it's fixed space and time
Each to move within the order of the divine

Should we not regress to the board that was set
We will reap our world with sorrowful regret

Our spectator waits  while no one calls time out
Players race on, fight, riot and shout

In the end who of the game will win
He that is with remorse repenting of sin

For if we walk by faith and not by sight
Then that whichi s won is THE FIGHT!
