sometimes i think
if my blood was the ink
that was used whenever i wrote

i wouldn't stop
'til i spent every drop
writing you these silly love notes

if the air that i breathe
would ensure you received
these words that i want you to read

i would certainly spare
my last swallow of air
to tell you what you mean to me

food, drink... they have no appeal
since you've been gone i won't take a meal

sleep, rest... i don't know what they mean
while your away i no longer dream

i fear that my heart
will one day not start
without your presence to tell it to beat

and my very life
needs you by my side
because without you it isn't complete
