If I ever lost you...

If the day ever came when you weren't in my life.
I'd lose much more than just a wife.
I'd lose the best friend that I've ever had.
My life would be empty and always sad.
I'd lose the best part of me, for that's you.
Without you in my life I'd always be blue.
You are the key to my hopes & my dreams.
Even my happiness so it seems.
My days would lose meaning without you to please.
My nights always lonely without you to squeeze.
It's your spirit and love that gives me so much pleasure.
For you are the one I will always treasure.
