If I Cared, Then...

If I cared what people think,
I wouldnt be the prodigal son...

Ive lost loved one's like you,
Ive done more jail & prison time than you too...

What's love got to do with it,
when loves defined with hate...?

I was born with a silverspoon,
and lived in a salvation army room...

Six children, a woman and me,
nothing about it was being free...

A crack addiction lasting 21 years,
more were my childrens tears...

You write what you feel,
sharing with others your real...

Hate, love, confusion, point of views,
only I walked in these shoes...

You got your own,
commenting on mine;
it's just a seed sown...

Water well,
for those that fell,
pray no one goes to hell...
