Ice Domain

Glacial continents of compacted ice and snow,
the sea to a ship of fur.
Wooden framed sled,
endlessly drawn by the frantic huskies.
Rider, animal and sleigh are all joined
as one in to a symbiotic being.
Scurrying, panting, in the bracing cold,
continually adjusting to the uneven surfaces.
Faint sounds in a wall of silence
ever forward,
onwards.
The parallel lines faintly etched on to this
barren landscape,
burning with the cold.
