I Wonder Why



Shaking, trembling.
My hands would hardly move...
Looking, searching,
Longing to hold my pen,
My hands just wouldn't reach it...
I looked down into myself, eyes barely opened
I couldn't see any reason...
So I tried to concentrate
Eyes dripping wet, wildly opened
I looked again, real deeper this time
As if maybe a lie would show
But the view was already too clear
No cause could be found...
I stood up hoping to attain that pen of mine
The one that's able to talk and tell
When unspoken words just wouldn't reveal themselves
And what a surprise!
My pen had already spoken
When my body, tired of standing,
Had already rested and fallen into profound sleep...

Born in 1987 in Zahle - Lebanon, Pamela Maalouf started writing at the age of 11 years old.Among her many hobbies, writing has always been considered as her priority! She writes in different languages: Arabic, english and french. She also speaks Spanish and is now learning Chinese.Following her brother's death in 2007, she wrote a very emotional book about him in 2008, showing a true image about her brother, her family and her deep sadness caused by her big loss...Pamela Maalouf got her Masters in Translation in 2008 and is now studying Interpretation at USEK - Lebanon.
