I Will Arise

I handed you my heart,
Opened my soul for you.
Something you wouldn't dare take.
You left me standing alone.
Watched my heart fall and break.
The wind was blowing me away.
My whispers "please don't leave me,
please stay"
You didn't want to hear.
You didn't stay long enough to see me tear.
Maybe if you did. It could've changed your mind.
How could we end like this?
When just yesterday, we were so perfectly intertwined?
You're gone, Forever disappeared.
Somehow i knew this would come.
Its what i most feared.
I tried so hard, Maybe someday you'll return...
the feeling i felt when you held me,
i can't help but yearn.
I feel im falling apart,
and you're nowhere to be found.
Maybe if yu would've stayed,
Sticked around...
I wouldn't have to cry every night.
I cry because, you're no longer here to tell me you love me,
and hole me tight.
If only you were here holding my hand on this night...
I watched from a distance as we fell apart,
I had wished on a broken star.
Leaving me with a permanent scar.
i was so lost in your eyes,
I faild to see all your lies.
From a broken heart, No one dies.
From all this, I Will Arise.

Leslie

My name is LeslieChristine. I spend my days Writting and Reading the incerdible poems of many writters our there. I fill journals after journals with poetry. I have this thing, Where I can write as easy as I can breathe, But reading them outloud, No that is the hard part, Haha :) Poems are the only thing that make sense anymore. When your world is crushing down, Writting is where you're most likely to escape to. Its the only way you are able to express what you want and feel with no restrictions. Its an amazing feeling. Also knowing how one of your poems can help someone cope with a problem, Thats true glory :) more…
