I Still Love You

A single drop of rain remind me of you.
Which makes this winter so hard to get through.

But when the sky clears, no ammount of rain
can account for the weight of my tears.

I was stuck in your trap but have since escaped
feeling bitter, alone and emotionally raped.

I want to go back where its safe, Your cage.
Sit with you on rainy nights and turn the next page.

But your cage is crowded and I would feel surrounded,
chased down by your demon and hounded.

So I will make it alone in this world so cold.
Hopefully in death our bodies cold lie together and mould,

lay like this until until we decompose.
Until there is nothing left but just our bones.

d-ory@hotmail.comIf I try to describe myself I can't cause I don't really know. I think I'm a bunch of different personalities in one body. I' am dark and a little depressed behind closed doors. But towards my friends I' am confident and happy. I struggle for acceptance from people but I do a great job of hiding it.Poetry is my release. Without it I could'nt function. But I think I was always meant to have it. I had never written a poem until I was 22 years old. I did'nt even know I could write a poem until someone special inspired me then shattered my heart. I believe this is why I write mostly dark, depressive poems. Because that's how it all started for me.My tag is weight of the world. Reason being I believe the weight of the world is on the shoulders of a few. And most of us are just standing around consuming and polluting waiting for others to clean up after us. I reflect some of this in my poetry.I live in Hobart, Australia and I' am 24 years old. Thanks for reading. Leave comments, your thoughts and I will return the favour.P.S There are certain words spelt differently in Australia so please keep this in mind when reviewing my poetry. And I 'am on facebook under rosco daw. E-mail at top of page.... more…
