I Sing Again

Many, many years ago,
When I first became a wife,
I'd always sing while I did my work,
For I really enjoyed my life.
No matter the fact that we were poor,
I always felt joy each day,
I had a happy, loving and wonderful
family, And I'd sing my cares away.
But we got lost,I don't know when,
As the years went swiftly by,
Instead of singing my cares away,
My heart began to cry.
You see, I guess it was meant to be,
My husband and I grew apart,
The life that I had enjoyed so much,
Had ended with a broken heart.
So I thought that tears were all I had
left, But my heart began to mend,
God's love has turned my life around,
And I've learned to sing again.
