I Shall Rise Again

While in slumber, I wish I'd never met her.
But yet I awake to the sounds of thunder.
Pneumonia, leukemia, and even her name,
All end the same, with so much pain.

I'm sick again, please God does it ever end?
Back to the hospital, what a lovely trend!

A vortex of sorrow struck down upon me,
And then the gates of hell opened for thee.
So take thy knife from off my heart and leave forevermore,
For thine adoration and sentiments I now no longer implore.

If this poem does not cause thee to mend,
Then ye shall remain cold to the very end.
Yes I admit I fell desperately, I won't contend,
But like the moon at dusk, I shall rise again.
