I Remember Mama

I remember Mama, with her face all aglow, I remember Mama
with her long silver hair. I remember mama she wore a halo
I remember her smile as warm as the rainbow, I remember Mama
with a heart of gold.

I remember how weak she grew, then the years came to.
I remember Mama's face as she grew old, I remember her love
as the nites were cold. I remember my Mama she is the whole
world to me. She gave me her strength and her sensitivity
I remember Mama I wish that I could, turn back the clock to
her childhood.

I remember Mama, and how she struggled, just to keep us
together and out of trouble. I remember Mama how she would
always find a way to keep us fed and she would thank the
Lord each day and nite for our daily bread.

Mama carried a heavy burden, but all four of us have
survived because of her faith-strength-and courage.
The confidence that she gave us well always be prepared
to accomplish what ever task this world may try and demand.

I remember Mama and always will, for without Mama's love
Time would have only stood still.
