I Promised I'd Never Leave (Don't make a liar out of me...)
Neither of us can sleep.
You had to ask,
But you knew before I could speak.
I let you down.
As I lose to confusion and fear,
I begin to drown.
You regret your words.
You regret mine even more;
Each unspoken a silent sword.
But still you’re willing to fight.
I just don’t have it in me.
I’d rather give in to the night.
In sad quiet we sit,
For fear of decisions to be made.
I know it is up to me,
But either price is too high to be paid.
All night we will swim through our tears,
But tomorrow, we will face my biggest fear
