i need You

It's been a while, and now I'm looking into Your Eyes.
the Features of Your Face, I've learned to memorize.
I wipe the dust that touches Your Right cheek,
must've been taken for granted in these days so bleak.

Are those tears that I see lining down Your left cheek?
You look so weary now, and I just feel so weak.
But don't You know, I run to You if courage is what I seek.
In these trying times, I have only tried to be meek.

I have shortcomings, I commit mistakes, I fail.
I wait, I wish too much, I whine to get up but I'm frail.
You know me so well, I wonder what it is You desire
seeing my actions, knowing my decisions and how I easily tire.

I may not know what is revealed to me, I may be blind to see.
All I know is that You have always been there to guide me.
Tomorrow, in Church I hope we would meet.
There, You may hear about the things I need.

But while I have this moment with You now, let me confess
that in my brokenness and loneliness, You remain my happiness.
Lord, I may not be the best child there is, but this much is true.
I may tell You many things, but this I want to tell you,
that I love You always and until my time is through,
yesterday, today and tomorrow, I need You.
