I Left My Loving Heart on The Table

Ofuonyebi 'Dinobi

-though i left at last
-when the willing dance
-refuse to swing its base
-to our wishful beats
-yet i left a loving heart
-on the table of our love
-which remains inseparable
-between you and me
-so that once in a while
-in our ignorance of thought
-our spirit though unwilling
-still sheepishly intertwine
-bringing our lost love
-together in a trance..
-that is the funny nature
-by which love is engraved..
