I Just Can't Believe It

I just can't believe it, yet the best is still to come,
anticipate tomorrow where new blessings have begun.
I just can't believe it, yet I know the way I feel
about most people's goodness when they are safe to reveal.
I just can't believe it, yet I know there is a way
to stop personal hatreds and suspicions to allay.
I just can't believe it, yet there must be recompense
for all of the injustice to the blameless innocents.
I just can't believe it, yet I know there's little hope
to recapture lost chances, with some regrets I must cope.
I just can't believe it, yet I know I am able
to triumph in misfortune and be irrepressible.
I just can't believe it, yet I know I always will
want one more day to honor, my good intentions fulfill.
I just can't believe it, yet world peace I'll realize
when respect and acceptance is no longer in disguise.
I just can't believe it, yet I know the future holds
big surprises and great promise, the adventure still unfolds.
I just can't believe it, yet I know it must be true,
that my purpose in this world is kindness in all I do.
