I hate being in pain

I hate being in pain!
So I run.
I run into the dark where I can't see the way.

I could not see that car coming, and they didn't see me,
so they hit me.
They didn't mean to, they were also in the dark.

I don't want to be in pain!
So I drink.
I drink so much that I make myself sick.

I don't want to be in pain!
So I sleep
But I can't sleep all day...

God, Please take all my pain away!
