i feel myself pulling away, a little more with each passing day.

I feel myself pulling away, a little more with each passing day.
I really just long for you to say to me, that you want me to stay.

I wish that I could just depend on me.
And maybe that will happen eventually.

But until the time comes, for my soul to be set free.
You will have to be my eyes, and help me to see.

Help me get past my wounded soul.
So that one day, I can be made whole.

To get past the pain and past the tears.
And then finally, to overcome my fears.

Oh the joy that will flood into my heart.
To live each day, like it was a new start.

It always seems so much easier for others to me,
But then again, I never know what's in their history.

They can be hiding their heartache and pain, just like I do.
And wondering why, they had to go through their pasts too!
