I Am Inhabited

I am inhabited by a strange dog
That licks its tongue across my spine
Its icy fangs suck at my brain;
The voice of the putrid beast
Howls in my blood.

I am inhabited by a strainge alien
Floating in my veins
Spinning out its orbits;
The face of the beautiful being
Sparkles in my tears.

Ghosts fly down the tubes of time
And echo in the lights of lime
Two dimensions strike the third
To form the ligands of the word.

I am inhabited by a strange desire
That comes on the October wind
Carried from the ghettos of my mind;
Determined to release the spectres
From the shadows of my eyes.
