Hunter



A soaring bird can sometimes be heard
By its cry intent and shrill
Some distant thing on tilted wing
Still circles on high until
A movement minute then a downward swoop
The silence creeps in like a theif
The stolen sound and approaching ground
Then a panic cut short beneath
