How to improve lulu!!!

I respectfully request you to consider introducing the following improvements to get away from the archaic mechanics of this site:

1) Introduce POET'S PAGE instead of text-Bio - this would allow for 1 page screenshot for all of poet's activities, no need to scroll up/down...

2) ALL RATERS have to be visible to the person who is being rated - current system allows random acts of sabotage, lots of poets are unhappy with random 1's - and this is messing with LuLu's core business...TRANSPARENCY!!! In case it's a frivolous act, we can find out who/why the 1 was given and dispute.

3) E-mail notification OPTION for any activity (i.e. how do I know if the poem is good now? - need to click on each one, then click on the responders, etc.) Instead - e-mail: you got a rating from X... etc. straight to the poem. Not to mention you can see a summary of poems (votes/ratings/etc.)

4) COMMUNICATIONS - 1 response at a time vs. string of discussion, this is a poet-to-poet discussion that doesn't have to be final

5) RATINGS - why can't we have leader-boards for different poem categories with overall winners, Instead of leaderboard for the entire site?

6) FAVORITES - if you notice, most of my BIO is suggestions of other great poets that I came to like, perhaps a portion of the poet's page would be 'suggestion list'?

7) INSTANT MESSAGING - probably too hi-tech but do consider, on the other hand isn't this a world of twitter/fb/myspace/buzz etc? it has to be instant! :) you can charge as per section 9) :)

8) PICTURES/MUSIC - also hi-tech, but on having a picture, or theme or music accompanying the poem would be nice (by all means you may charge extra for that)
and speaking of that

9) for any COSTLY services, small premiums may apply, I have no issue with price-discrimination if the price is reasonable, but keep basic things in tact, so the pros (not me) can do fancy things, i.e. customize their poet pages (I mean lots of them are published and have their own style developed over years) and basic (me included) can have a poet's page/suggestion list/discussion and trading poems :)

10) what else is there besides ratings currently? NOTHING? what if I want to know what is the most discussed poem, or which poem is rising in the charts? or who is the most active critic? do you get points for that? what about points for bringing more people to lulu? can you rate a poem on more than one parameter? right now it's a number...is it for technique? for feeling? for effort? do you get awards for participation? i.e. rate more than 1000 poems, become apprentice-reviewer or something...people seem to like titles, 10000 is supreme? lol
------------------------------
These are my personal thoughts, if you feel like adding or making suggestions - please provide feedback :) But you only get 1 chance to provide 1 comment, so make it count! :)

p.s.
afterthoughts: after-thoughts: 1)how much can you charge to remove the ads? 2) how can poet respond to a review directly? 3) why are poems in the middle of the page? perhaps move ads down and up and leave the center for the poem? just thinking...4)can poets have a reading list or suggested reading on their pages? integrate with kindle? (this should be a money maker) 5)can poets mute other poets as a response to abuse? 6) can LuLu track systematic saboteurs, i.e. poet gives up more than 5 ones in a row, red flag! 7) can you more effectively search the lulu web-site, the advanced search option rarely works well 8) can you have a list of favorite poets (in addition to poems) 9) can you have folders (i.e. for each tag for example) 10) parental control? some poems may not be suitable for children, eh? 11) can you have a status? if you're sad, ill send you a reference to a poem that will cheer you up!!! 12) will brainsorm some more, but this should be a good start for a business plan :) LOL unless everyone is SO happy with the current web-site :) No offense meant if you are, just trying to save all of us some time when having to find/track/check poems and ratings and reviews...not to mention talk to other people...
