There's no place for the homeless
and there's no place like home.
With no permanent address in limbo they must roam.

Dispossessed in their homeland and ravaged by the storm
a sad, ragtag gypsy band in lazy circles swarm.

Bloated bodies in the flood, with eyes fixed in a stare,
executed in cold-blood and heaven doesn't care.

Unsanitary settings with no hygienic lay
contaminate positions in every single way.

Chaotic helter-skelter with bedlam as the creed,
throngs stand in sultry swelter as turmoil takes the lead.

No medicine for illness. No diapers for the young.
No asylum for stillness for nerves become high strung.

There's no place for the homeless
