History's Open Willing Mouth

She could feel him inside her dreams at night,
gentle footsteps which patted the colours
that twirled in vision's fine musical wind.
Centuries meant nothing inside time's eye,
imagination, longing - connected
her thought along distance and smiled sweetly.

His busy existence controlled wild swerves
as he dreamt of her wide beauty that licked
the past into honey's delightful love.
Wondrous space twisted in on its strange self
while spirits slipped themselves along the curves
of complexity's fantastic shimmer.

Their light collided - he wept ponds into
oceans she skipped on with pure joy's wispy
fragrant intensity: sugar-coated
with fascination and belief; faith's warm
hands which wrapped individuality,
they both soared away from captivity.

Freedom's laughter gathered confusion's frown
and smoothed it with a kiss; simplicity,
language curled into shapes as texture fell
upon their grace; laced with companionship,
futuristic inspiration danced wine
to cool history's open willing mouth.
